We have now been here for two weeks, so we are half way through our stay and already completely exhausted, though we wouldn’t have it any other way. During the day we work at the Traverse Theatre on our Dazzle Jewellery Exhibition, selling our amazing selection of contemporary jewellery. We are meeting people from all over the world as well as lots of regular buyers from Scotland and England.
In the evenings we hit the shows! So far our favourite has been “Sub Rosa” at the Hill Street Theatre. This is an amazing site specific show devised by David Leddy, which takes you back to a dark and Gothic world to hear the tragic story of a young Music Hall girl told by different characters involved in her life. The acting is superb and you are totally transported by the whole production. It is well worth staying up past ones bedtime!
We were also thrilled that our old friend from Manchester, Renny Krupinski, has picked up rave reviews and a Fringe First for “Bare” at venue 39 The Space at the Radisson on the Royal Mile. This accolade is well deserved as it is a superb production so try to get along to see it. Renny must be exhausted as he not only wrote the piece but also directs and acts and does the fight arranging!
For those of you who are free during the daytime and enjoy meeting crafts people face to face and buying from a wide range of disciplines, visit the West End Craft Fair. The exhibitors change every week and there is catering on hand from the renowned Hendersons, an Edinburgh establishment.
